My MYE is offically over ! Finally some free time for me to do a review on 'Sadako' the movie (:

Sadako 3D was filmed based on a novel "S" by Koji Suzuki, the creator of the "Ring".
Plot Synopsis :
There has been a rumourd cursed video, of a man commiting suicide on Niconico's live broadcast, circulating around Japan. It is said that whoever watches it will die soon after. During that period, many deaths occured simultaneously at various locations. The police concluded that these deaths as suicide cases. However, the police had missed out a common and the most key point in the investigation: those that had 'commited suicide' had watched the cursed video before. Akane Ayukawa (Saromi Ishihara) is a teacher of an all-girls high school. Initially, she did not believe the rumour, but when Noriko, one of her students, killed herself after viewing the footage, she is drawn into the world of Sadako. Dectective Koiso (Ryosei Tayama) is the police incharged of the mysterious deaths happening in Japan and after further investigation, he found out that Kashiwada Seiji (Yusuke Yamamoto) was the man who uploaded the video of his live suicide. His main intention is to destroy the humans who had been mocking him and to create havoc in the human race by resurrecting Sadako and the power of her curse. When Takanori Andou (Koji Seto), Akane's boyfriend, accidentally stumbled upon the video, Akane is forced to fight against Sadako and Kashidawa to save the lifes of Takanori and herself.

In order to resurrect Sadako, Kashidawa had killed numerous women and threw their bodies into the well where Sadako was killed to provide her with a body. Further on in the movie, it was revealed that the cursed video was actually a platform for Sadako to find a suitable body for her to reside in.

Towards the end, you will see Dectective Koiso and Akane going to the place where Sadako was killed. Koiso ended up getting killed by some monsters that had climbed out from the well. In a way, he sacrificed himself to allow Akane to escape. There was a part where she was surrounded by countless monsters and she had no route to escape. She killed the monsters by screaming. Akane's scream is able to break any form of glass and that is her special ability, therefore making her body a suitable body for Sadako to reside in.

After clearing the monsters, she was pulled into the handphone by the hands of Sadako. I was quite surprised to see quite a pretty Sadako >.< I was expecting some ghastly looking female ! HAHAHAH! Sadako had said that Akane was herself and that if she wanted Takanori to leave the place alive, Akane would have to let her merged into her body. She had no choice but to accept it and Takanori was teleported back into the real world. At that moment, a glowing butterfly guided Takanori to the phone where Akane and Sadako was in, and he had used a rock to smashed the Iphone into pieces. That was how Akane was saved and she was then brought back into the real world where Takanori was. Sadako, WHY YOU NO USE NOKIA ?!
Half way through the credits, there showed a scence of Kashidawa's landlord lady appearing at the well and saying something allow the line of 'Everything in this world is fake.' That isn't all, at the end of the credits, there is another video footage of Kashidawa. It hinted that there could be a season 2 coming up !

Personally, I think that this is one of the least scary horror movie out there. Even the "Ring" and the "Ring 2" was much horrifying than Sadako 3D. The only thing that can actually frightened you is the sound effect ! I guarentee ! This movie is great for those who are new to horror films or for those who are afraid of watching horror movies. The characters are quite well developed throughout the movie, and the actors are pleasant to look at :p For those hard core horror fans, Sadako 3D is not recommended as it would be quite a huge disappointment. I would rate 6/10 for this movie. Still
looking forward to it's season 2 though ! x.x There are just so many unexplained stuff !
If any of you had found Kashidawa and Takanori familiar looking, it's because Yusuke Yamamoto and Koji Seto acted in Ouran High School Host Club drama and Koizora drama respectively. WHEE !
